A social education.
I have gradually been clearing through all my old school and uni notes.
My uni notes reveal that doodle a fair bit in first year.
My school notes are more interesting. My social education jotter reveals me to be, half a lifetime ago, politically very conservative and socially even more so. I thought that drug dealers were terrible people and that unemployment ruined lives, that everyone I knew would be deeply disappointed in me if I ever got drunk.
What I can’t figure out is how I got from being so straight-laced to being as liberal as, at least think, I am.
